Jandy doesn't pay for $6,000 deal.
After consulting Domainclub management through a member from here, I got permission to post this. The reason for posting is to give member Jandy a last chance to do the right thing and to warn other members. I'll try to keep it short and to the point so I left out any unnecessary messages.
Almost 4 months ago (13 May) I sold Taiwan.tv for $6,000 to member Jandy, he came to me through a Domainclub member who posted Taiwan.tv for me here on this forum. Jandy asked me if he could have a few days before paying me and I agreed. His message on 21 May: ------ sorry for the late reply.... can you give me some days? because I just bought a ring for my girlfriend for $3000 so I don't have enough cash now.... I need time to sell my domains or get the cash from my work.... ------ After two reminders, on 18 June Jandy asked for an additional one month: ------ sorry....just one month... I still don't have enough cash... ------ As he looked to me as a reputable member and I didn't need the money urgently, I agreed. After one month, I asked him to start the escrow: ------ Hi Jandy, After we reached a deal on Taiwan.tv over 2 months ago (13 May) and the additional month for which you requested is now passed as well, it's time to finish this deal as this is already taking a long time. Can you start the escrow, my escrow email address is: ****** Thanks, John. ------ Jandy replied on 20 July: ------ sorry for late reply.... because I am busy on my wedding....I don't have much time on internet.... an in fact...I still don't have enough cash..... now I still don't have $6000....and some of them also need spending on wedding...so….still can give me more time?thanks ------ After which I asked for a commitment on a specific date on which he would start the escrow: ------ Hi Jandy, Just to keep it clear now for both of us, can you let me know the exact date when you will start the escrow? Regards, John. ------ After that he kept quiet for over 2 weeks. What worried me is that I noticed he was posting to buy domains at another forum and was asking for certain domains to buy through his signature as well. So I sent him this message on 1 August: ------ Hi Jandy, Just noticed that you are buying domains now: (**thread removed, as it's not from this forum**) so you should be able to finish our Taiwan.tv deal. John. ------ and I posted on his sales thread as well on 3 August. I also sent him this message: ------ Hi Jandy, We are now almost 3 months further after we reached an agreement and you have ignored my emails and PM's for over 2 weeks now. I still hope you will do the right thing and honor our deal by starting the escrow for Taiwan.tv or at least communicate with me with a day you will start the escrow or a payment plan which is fair and acceptable. If you are still ignoring my emails and PM's, I feel sorry that I'm left with no choice then to report you in the 'Warnings and Alerts' section. Best regards, John. ------ He replied almost immediately with: ------ sorry...but I have not used the net for about 1-2 week....not everyone will use net everyday.... even I still not sleep yesterday because my work.... and I am hurry to get the cash..... now I don't feel good to get so much these kind of mail.... first...I will apologize for the offer that I maed...then I will hold my offer now... ------ He also send this message on the same day: ------ yes...I posted on NP....but when?I think the date is 07/25/2008 from the post...I reply to anyone?or have got any domains? now I still have many pm in my account.....besides sell the domain...I also have the job to get cash.... from the deal....how often do you send the mail? I have told you the reason....and I have say sorry to the late... if you don't want to wait....you can sell to others...I am tired of it..... you don't need to threaten........ ------ My reply: ------ Hi Jandy, The last time you were online at Namepros was Sunday 3 August. I think I already showed I don't mind to wait as I have already waited for 3 months ;-) but the only thing for you to do now is to give me a day when you will be able to finalise our deal, that's all! When can you have the cash to finalise this deal? ------ And he replied back on the same day: ------ when I am oniline-->mean what??? do you know weather I have time? you say that you have showed you don't mind to wait..... maybe...but for me...just feel that I always get the hurry mail ------ My last message to him: ------ Hi Jandy, Please don't avoid my question and let me know the day we can finally finalize our deal. After 3 months of waiting it's not that much to ask. ------ After that I sent him two more emails, which he, no surprise, also ignored. If Jandy still wants to do the right thing and honor our deal, he can contact me or post here and I will give him the credits for that. If not, it's just a warning to be careful dealing with this member.

Just pasted my NP post here again for Domainclub member's information.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ John, It's been quite a while since we discussed about Taiwan.tv last time. As a Taiwanese, I can understand how desired Jandy want to buy the domain back. Besides, $6000 is not a small amount compared to Taiwanese's income, especially when he was getting marry. Just a quick advice here, maybe you should start finding another buyer rather than waiting for him still. You should be able to find one in no time for such a good domain. Jandy, No offense, but I suggest you show up to get all the issues clear. You should tell John earlier if you really have a difficulty to make it. I believe John is the only one has such patient for this.
